Poiroux

Have you ever dreamt of walking through an ocean of green, the sound of the birds singing all around and the gentle lapping of the water from the lac de Finfarine? Maybe you would prefer to go fishing, or go cycling with your family along the sunken lanes and stone paths; then Poiroux is the place for you.

The 800 inhabitants of Poiroux, a small community whose name means "stone" (Perrus became Poiourx over time), have managed to keep the countryside rich and varied : thick hedges and copses that come together to make a forest, as explained at the "Folie de Finfarine", the Wold of Trees and Honey.

Poiroux is only a few kilometres from the sea and whether it is just for the day, for the week or for longer (you can even set up your business there), it has a wealth of heritage to presente you.
